When it comes to Christmas traditions, hanging stockings on the mantle is nice, albeit short-lived. “I’m The Reno Type” calendars, on the other hand, offer a longer and more fulfilling shelf life -- 365 days of Battle Born eye candy that catches your eye day after day. It’s the perfect hangup for the holidays, a year-long gift featuring 13 photos and stories from Scott Mortimore, each page capturing the soul of northern Nevada.
What started as a gift has become a collector series of images. The first edition of 250 in 2024 disappeared fast. The 2025 run of 350 sold out even faster. This year, we’ve printed 500 — about half gifted to Reno Type clients and friends and the remainder available here, until they’re gone.
Printed locally with care and pride, this calendar is more than a way to track the days. It’s a window into this anonymous cowlicked land we call Nevada: that land of shadow and space we’re proud to call home.
